The Quinta is located 12 km inland from Tavira, on the East side of the Algarve. It is positioned in a quiet location in the Santa Catarina Hills with panoramic views over the countryside and to the coast occupying a private position within 10,000 square metres of its own land. The area is one of outstanding natural beauty with indigenous trees and shrubs (cork, cork oak, carob, almond, olive, orange, pomegranate, lemon, rock rose and medronho bush). Most of its surrounding land is completely natural. The Quinta was restored in the late 1990s retaining many original features and styles. It is reached by a tarmac road and through gates to a gravel drive, offering plenty of parking space.
The property is away from the hustle and bustle but nevertheless just a 25 minute drive to the Roman town of Tavira, the beaches and 10 minutes drive to St. Catarina.
The Quinta has 3 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom has French doors opening to its own private balcony. Upstairs is a south facing good sized terrace with built-in barbeque grill (again fabulous views of the sea and countryside). Downstairs there is a large split level living/dining room with doors opening onto the pool area.
A fully equipped country style kitchen opens on to the garden terrace. There is also a laundry room with washing machine.
The property has a walled courtyard garden with a terrace, rock fountain and gates through to the pool area, which can be locked.
The pool is 10 m x 5 m with a traditional, ornamental tiled surrounding. Its position is completely private with a shower area and surrounded by a mature garden.
The Quinta has its own water supply from a natural spring.
